“Sinking ” is one of my earlier paintings. It was painted by me after I had just fed a small group of homeless people. Following giving them food a stand-off woman finally was persuaded to eat. After I gave her food, she asked me if I would hold her. I put my arms around her as she sobbed. I held her for a few minutes. it broke my heart. I came home and painted this painting, weeping off and on while doing so. it depicts a homeless woman sinking into the earth. She has raised her hands pleading for help. She is sinking. No help is coming!
