An Act of Love

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

This morning on Swain Rd (a busy street) traffic was stopping in the right lane. As I passed in the left lane I saw this burly man who had stopped his car in traffic to protect a small kitten. The kitten was alive. It had been hit and left in the middle of the street. He was tenderly picking it up to remove it from harms way. I wish I had some way to thank him! It was truly an act of love.

My world

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

I cannot help tying the world of my gallery in with my personal world. It is my passion. Outside of my family it is what consumes me. Tonight on facebook I wrote a portion of a prayer my mother spoke with me many times when I was a small boy—Lord, lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.–my mother would tuck me into bed and give me a goodnight kiss on the forehead.–I was the luckiest young boy to earth to have such a mother and father!

Tracy GrandTheatre for the Arts Exhibit

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

I so much appreciate the exhibition of chosen works from our gallery in the Tracy Grand Theatre for the Arts. Finally recognition of Outsider/Folk Art is coming westward to California. I have hoped for 30 years for this to happen and now it seems as if my hope may be realized.
