Texas Jackrrabbit

Artist Name: Artist--Grandpa ol'Roff

Price: Went to Jane in Stockton

I was born 82 tears ago way back in the sticks of the Texas Panhandle. We had no running water, no electricity, and only a dirt road leading to our house which was located 20 to 25 miles from town. Rattle Snakes were plentiful. Dad hunted for much of our food, squirrels, birds, and Cotton-Tail rabbits One thing we did not eat was Jackrabbits. They were said to carry disease. A joke was "Jackrabbit grew so large you could ride them". So I decided to paint a "Texas Jackrabbit"---this was immediately purchased by Jane--The money will help pay for a Christmas dinner for somone in need.---by ol'Roff
