Kevin Arthur
"I was an occasional pipe smoker on and off for 40 years and purchased my first pipe in a little smoke shop in Hjorring Denmark at the age of 17. It was during my last hiatus from pipe smoking that I somehow misplaced that pipe and that's how my journey into pipemaking began. The pipe was a Stanwell known back then as a "Captains" pipe and after searching for months for a suitable replacement I came up empty. I decided to make a duplicate of that pipe and ordered several undrilled briar blocks and preformed stems from a notable American carver and got to work with the simple tools I had available."-----------------Kevin's pipes are amazing. I wish i could afford all of them!
By Kevin Arthur "Each pipe has an open airway of 5/32" from bowl to stem. All stems have an open airway that tapers from 5/32" to 5/64" and are funneled and trumpeted at the button. The stem thickness at the button is approximately 4mm or slightly thicker for larger pipes and very comfortable. I use Delrin tenons exclusively on all pipe"
